About Nalvina
Nalvina was established in 2009 by a group of wine lovers living in Switzerland who wanted to be able to send gifts to their friends and family all around the world. Usually this involves queuing at the post office and paying international delivery rates or doing hours of research on-line trying to find a reliable supplier that can deliver within 24hrs. We are busy people but we value keeping in touch with the people we care about and being able to send them a special gift, quickly and without fuss.
Our aim is to provide a service whereby you can send your friends and family, whether they are in London, New York, Buenos Aires or Berlin a personally chosen fine wine delivered to their door. The payment is completely secure as it's all done through Paypal, the delivery time is guaranteed, all you need to do is focus on choosing the perfect wine for your friend. Jean-Stéphane Szijarto is the CEO of the company, he is half Swiss half Hungarian and has lived in Namibia, Eritrea and Iran. His international travel, mindset and experience was one of the driving forces behind the concept of Nalvina as well as his wish to send something other than flowers to his friends! William Hauptman is our Wine Director and our wine blogger. His knowledge of wine and everything around wine is just short of stellar. William comes from the US and lives in Switzerland and is relieved that finally he can send something other than Swiss Chocolate to his family back home. Carla Collenette is our Merchant Director and is constantly looking for wine merchants that fit the special Nalvina brand. Carla has an Italian first name, a French family name she grew up in England and currently lives in Switzerland. Like our customers Carla has friends in many different countries who she doesn't see that often, but on special occasions likes to treat them with a unique gift.
